 HERITAGE NO : 1309 Growing up as a St.Helens fan and experiencing matches at our home ground, Tom was determined to become a Saint himself one day. His journey with the Red V began as a 14-year-old in our Scholarship programme before moving up into our Under-18s side, and in his second season with the Saints Academy, he was named the team captain – a role he was honoured to hold. Over his two seasons as an Academy Saint, Humphreys played in 27 matches, scoring nine tries. Humphreys also earned an Origin selection twice with the Lancashire team in 2025. Further development opportunities saw the young number hooker feature on eight occasions for St.Helens’ Reserves squad, grabbing two tries to boot ahead of joining our First Team environment in 2026. Tom enrolled at the University of Liverpool after being accepted into the university’s High Performance Athlete Programme, which allows him flexibility as he works towards a Mechanical Engineering degree alongside his rugby league career. Tom came on as a substitute in the away victory over Hull FC in April 2026 to make his debut. | ||||
